Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds

Payment details

France 44 Wines & Spirits Education takes payment via all major credit cards. All payments are independently processed through third-party services. France 44 does not collect any payment information but only receives a notification once a payment has successfully gone through.

Online course refund policy

France 44 Wine & Spirits Education will accept cancellations of confirmed online course enrollments 14 or more business days prior to the start of the course. Cancellations are subject to a $50 administration fee as well as the full cost of the study materials. The remainder of the course fee will be refunded to the enrolled individual. WSET exam cancellation & transfer rules apply.

Any cancellations made less than 14 days before the start date of an online course or after the online course has started, forfeit any refund options.

If an online course is cancelled by the APP due to lack of enrolment, a full refund will be issued to the enrolled individual within 14 business days of cancellation by France 44 Wine & Spirits Education.

In-person course refund policy

Cancellations of confirmed in-person courses are accepted up to 30 days before the start of the course. Refunds will be issued within 14 business days of cancellation request, with a deduction of $50 for administrative fees.

Cancellations of confirmed in-person courses made less than 30 days before the in-person course start date, including no-shows and cancellations made after the course has already begun, forfeit all payments made unless student can provide medical or outstanding circumstance documentation.

If an in-person course is cancelled by the APP due to lack of enrolment, a full refund will be issued to the enrolled individual within 14 business days of cancellation by France 44 Wine & Spirits Education.

Transferal of registration policy

Online courses - Confirmed students may transfer their registration to another online course or student up to 14 business days before the course start date with the addition of a $50 administrative fee, plus the cost of any additional study materials, exam fees, or tasting resources that may be applicable. Student is also responsible for any WSET exam cancellation/transfer fees that may apply (see below).

In-person courses - Confirmed students may transfer their registration to another in-person course or student up to 30 business days before the course start date with the addition of a $50 administrative fee. Student is also responsible for any WSET exam cancellation/transfer fees that may apply (see below).

Course transfers, whether online or in-person, cannot be carried forward to the next academic year (August 1 of any given year to July 31 of the following year).

WSET exam resit & reschedule fees

If a student fails their first attempt WSET exam or needs to reschedule an upcoming exam, student must work with France 44 Wine & Spirits Education to schedule a time to take the exam with the next upcoming course. The fees associated with each course level are as follows:

Level 1 Award in Wines Reschedule Fee: $75.00
Level 2 Award in Wines Reschedule Fee: $150.00
Level 3 Award in Wines Reschedule Fees
- Unit 1 Theory: $175.00
- Unit 2 Tasting: $75.00

If a student requires an individual exam instead of waiting for the next upcoming course, further fees will apply. Student must work with France 44 Wine & Spirits Education to schedule a time for this individual exam. Please contact education@france44.com with any rescheduling questions.
